The South African retailer, one of the first to initiate the shopping phenomenon in the country, will commence with its annual Black Friday sale on the 29 November,The company has announced that the Black Friday countdown has returned, as incredible deals and deep discounts for customers can be expected.In addition, Takealot has consumers marking their calendars with the Blue Dot Countdown, a campaign which encompasses four weeks of epic blue dot deals in the lead-up to Black Friday.
The countdown begins on 1 November and in the first week, large appliances, TVs, furniture and beauty products will be sold at reduced rates.In the third week camping & outdoor equipment, smart home technology and household essentials will be the sale’s target. After the countdown and the Blue Dot weekend, Takealot will introduce even more deals including Cyber Monday and Takealot Tuesday.
In May 2024, Takealot launched a subscription service, and these subscribers will see access to exclusive deals. The subscription service further offers free fast delivery and the starting rate is set at R39 for the standard plan.
