Former Corrie writer and EastEnders legend Daran Little shared the happy news on social media
A Coronation Street legend has shared some joyful family news, revealing he's just become a grandad for the sixth time. Daran Little, who penned scripts for the cobbles from 2001 to 2010 before switching to EastEnders, took to social media platform X previously known as Twitter on Monday to announce the arrival of his newest grandchild. 'Grandchildren No.6 born today. Very proud granddad about to open the vodka! ' Daran exclaimed.
Despite being openly gay, he once married a woman, sharing: 'I'm gay and I got married in a church... to a woman... because I feared being gay in a world that didn't accept me. That was 25 years ago.' He went on to have a civil partnership with a man, which ended in 2014. Daran then tied the knot with Canadian socialite Patrick Rankin, but they divorced in 2023.
