French Health Network is awarding Conseil scolaire‐communautaire Évangéline and its volunteers the 2022 Étoile Santé honorary prize.
The program, which is supported by government funding, provides two meals a week to around 30 people, and each meal is made to match their dietary needs. For Durant, projects like Meals on Wheels are essential to the community, as the program has served over 4,000 meals to those in need. “This breaks the isolation. Especially during COVID, our participants it gave them something to look forward to.”
