Fire crews are at the scene in Compstall Mill tonight
Greater Manchester FIre and Rescue Service have been called to Compstall Mill, near Stockport, on Friday night. A number of emergency service crews are on the scene with a cordon in place.
"Five fire engines from Marple, Offerton, Hyde, Whitehill and Stockport fire stations quickly attended the incident. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used hose reels to extinguish the fire, which had spread to the top floor of the mill.
