Firefighters worked through the night to battle a huge blaze that ripped through a flat on a Scots high street.
One eyewitness told the Record: "At one point smoke was billowing across the high street, and the smell of the fire was noticed several miles away." A Scottish Fire and Rescue spokesperson said: "We were called to High Street in Annan at 6.22pm on Saturday, February 10 in response to reports of a building on fire. Four appliances were sent to the scene.
