Baikt Ceramics is a Cape Town-based pottery studio in Sea Point founded by Mike Jacobs-Brits. The studio specialises in innovative homeware for the interior design space which you can purchase from their online store.But rather than a mere product, Mike believes that ceramics should be seen as an experience.

“A friend once told me that there’s an energy transfer in the art of making. Every feeling, emotion, and state of being gets transferred into your art, and that stuck with me – I want my pieces to make others as happy as they make me during and after the process.” Thus began a series of workshops, classes, and events for you and I to get down to it, dirtying our hands, feeling the good vibes, and getting an intimate experience of exactly what Mike and his friend was talking about.Their pottery lessons are conducted in small group settings where you are able to work through the ceramic process of creating your own pieces under the guidance of Baikt pottery teachers.
