Nursery children took part in a sponsored danceathon last week in a bid to help alleviate child poverty.
Kids from Cardonald Nursery in the South of Glasgow danced every day from Monday to Friday to raise funds for Cash for Kids who support youngsters affected by poverty, abuse, and neglect. Each day the little ones danced and dressed up to a new theme including nursery rhymes, eighties karaoke, and dancing Disney.
The nursery has so far raised just short of £1,000 from the danceathon with a little help from local businesses who boosted funds by donating raffle prizes. All the money raised, which is still being donated and counted, will go towards Cash for Kids.“We work with children and we see poverty among it.
