The money has been awarded from Hyndburn Borough Council’s capital programme for 2023/24
Mercer Park in Clayton-le-Moors has been given a £125,000 grant for the makeover from Hyndburn Borough Council’s capital programme for 2023/24. The 15-year-old play area’s equipment is worn out and in need of a refurbishment.

Cllr Smithson said: “It was great to meet so many young people who are passionate about green spaces in our borough and hearing their ideas first hand was really valuable.
