The painting shows images of Fleurs representing SuperSport United, South Africa during the 2020 Olympic Games and in Amakhosi colours, whom he joined in October last year.A Cape Town-based rapper, Lukey Luxman, released a song in honour of his friend Fleurs, thanking him for the support and for pushing him to get better:
South African football descended into mourning after hearing the news of 23-year-old defender, Luke Fleurs' passing. The former SuperSport United star was shot in the upper body before one of the suspects drove off in his VW Golf 8, followed by his accomplice in a BMW 1 Series.
