“I’m absolutely over the moon right now,” said Watson, who was also named the tournament’s most valuable player for his stellar play on the backend. Cape Breton’s Daniel Clarke didn’t face a lot of shots but was there when called upon, making two key saves in the contest. Cape Breton head coach Deano Morley said the game plan going into the match was to score early and that’s exactly what happened. “To be part of that with all of these boys, it’s absolutely amazing,” said Watson. “I want the boys to continue that next year and make it seven in a row and beat that record – it would be awesome to do that here in Cape Breton.”
