There will be a water supply disruption in Constantia, Cape Town on Thursday, 12 October due to planned maintenance. The City of Cape Town saidneeds to do emergency repairs to the outlet of the pressure reducing valve on the 300mm diameter water main in Constantia.
The municipality said its Water and Sanitation maintenance team will be attending to this severely leaking coupling on the water supply main in Constantia. “This work has been delayed in part to enable the maintenance team to prepare adequately as well as to allow the residents to store sufficient water in advance for domestic use during this period.
“Residents are also kindly requested to ensure that their taps are closed during this period to prevent any water loss and/or damage when the water supply is restored,” the City of Cape Town said. Furthermore, the municipality apologised for any inconvenience that the planned maintenance will cause and emphasised that it is imperative to maintain its water supply infrastructure to benefit its customers.
