Cape Breton police charge impaired driver who fled collision

NORTH SYDNEY – Cape Breton Regional Police arrested a 57-year-old man from North Sydney who allegedly left the scene of a collision and fled police while driving impaired. George James Timbury was charged Tuesday night with failing to stop after an accident, dangerous operation of a vehicle, flight from a peace officer, impaired operation of a vehicle, refusal of a breathalyzer demand, assaulting a peace officer, obstruction and three breaches of previous court-ordered release conditions.
