SaltWire Network File - Juanita MercerABERCROMBIE, N.S. — A 45-year-old Cape Breton man is facing charges after allegedly breaking into a home and fleeing from police in Abercrombie, Pictou County on Thursday.
An officer later spotted the vehicle on Highway 104 near James River and tried to pull it over, but the driver fled. A second attempt was made near exit 31 in Addington Forks, but police said the driver again refused to stop. RCMP dogs arrived on the scene, and the driver was arrested. Police said the driver was displaying signs of impairment and failed a breath sample test.
