Benny Niesten from Millville lets his Chevy Nova take a huge bite into Cape Breton Dragway on Sunday afternoon when he claimed first place in the Pro Class. Meanwhile, Jason MacNeil, originally of Sydney and living in Stellarton, claimed the Wally Award in the no box class. Dave Polson came in second place, while Noah Muggah was in third place and Jonathan Sachs posted a fourth-place finish. Jacey Pozzebon of Gardiner Mines was successful in winning the Wally Award in the junior dragster gamblers class. Logan Roach came in second place and Jax Goodwin in third place.In the super pro class, Dan MacLeod of Big Bras d’Or took home first place, while Josh Goodwin of Wellington, P.E.I., came in second place and Troy Baldwin of New Waterford in third place.
Turning to the sportsman class, Karen Bellows of East Bay captured first place honours, while Chris Christiansen of Dominion came in second place and Shawn Cadden of New Waterford in third place.
