Caoimhin Kelleher was speaking ahead of Liverpool's Champions League clash with Bayer Leverkusen at Anfield
Caoimhin Kelleher has insisted that he is not thinking about his future despite previously admitting he was prevented from leaving Liverpool in the summer. The Republic of Ireland international has made no secret of his desire to become a number one goalkeeper. And with Alisson Becker ahead of him in the pecking order at Anfield , the 25-year-old is realistic about his prospect on Merseyside.
But the goalkeeper is adamant that he is not thinking about his future despite being left disappointed in his efforts to leave the Reds last summer. “No, my thinking at the moment is, to be honest, no ,” he said. “Obviously it’s quite early on in the season. “Even then, my focus is on playing well. If I’m thinking about my future and different things like that, it’s not going to help my game. “I need to be clear mentally to play well.
