Bruno Fernandes and Alejandro Garnacho both impressed for Manchester United during the Community Shield against Manchester City
Bruno Fernandes has sent a two-word message to Alejandro Garnacho after Manchester United lost the Community Shield to Manchester City on penalties. Garnacho, who started on the bench at Wembley, came on and made a stellar contribution during his time on the pitch.
It was a terrific strike from Garnacho and means he has now scored in successive matches for United after finding the net in the FA Cup final back in May. As for United, it was a promising performance from them and Fernandes was at the heart of most they did. The same can be said about Garnacho despite only playing the final half an hour. Speaking after the game, Ten Hag admitted he can take positives from the performance heading into Friday's Premier League opener against Fulham at Old Trafford: "The league start is the most important. I think we can take a lot of positives from this game, and it will give us confidence but also a little bit of pain in our stomach.
