Bridge traffic in July sees increase from one year ago

Though the year-to-date numbers are up, crossings are still short of pre-pandemic levels

The numbers are in for July and traffic on the International Bridge saw a significant increase from what they were one year ago.

A total of 75,074 one-way crossings happened in July, up 447 per cent from what the traffic was in July 2021.Since the beginning of 2022, 291,966 one-way crossings have been tabulated, which is a year-to-date increase of 226.4 per cent compared to the numbers from the same timeframe in 2021. The International Bridge Administration is also reporting that in comparison to pre-pandemic crossing numbers, overall traffic has decreased by 49.3 per cent.
