Over the weekend, Premier Danielle Smith reiterated her position that there should be stiff penalties for gasoline retailers caught “gouging” and warned that the Service Alberta minister and the Red Tape Reduction department continue to monitor the situation closely.Article content Under provincial legislation, price gouging can lead to a fine of up to $300,000 and up to two years in prison.
