Superior Summer Reading Challenge, which runs throughout July and August, is open to anyone 19 and older; local prizes up for grabs
All you have to do is head to the James L. McIntyre or the North Branch Public Library and pick up a challenge card, or download one online, and get reading.
There are 23 different challenges to choose from, including reading a book that has won a literary award, reading a biography of any Canadian, or reading a novel set on a beach. You can even complete a challenge just by reading a few pages of your current book to anyone you’d like. Every challenge completed earns you a ballot for a draw at the end of summer for one of three unique and locally inspired gifts.
“A gorgeous, handmade Charcuterie board, a colourful alcohol ink print of the North Shore or a cozy, Highway 17 North Hoodie,” the library described.More information can be found here.
