Police sergeant, Mbuyiseni Gema , appeared in the Ixopo Magistrates Court, on Monday, on a charge of murder.

Gema is alleged to have killed his girlfriend, Busisiwe Mathembi Ngcobo earlier this month in the eHlanzeni area.NPA regional spokesperson, Natasha Ramkisson-Kara, said, the case was remanded to August 25 for a formal bail application. The state will oppose the application. The case against an Ixopo police sergeant, accused of murdering his pregnant girlfriend, has been postponed for the accused to apply for legal aid and then bail. Mbuyiseni Christopher Gema allegedly strangled Busisiwe Ngubo.
