The body of a 36-year-old man who went missing after falling out of his boat on Sunday afternoon has been recovered from Hartbeespoort Dam. Police divers, alongside the National Sea Rescue Institute (NSRI), made the grim discovery on Tuesday morning.

“During ongoing search operations on Tuesday morning, police divers, assisted by NSRI Hartbeespoort Dam, located and recovered the body of a local 36-year-old man who had gone missing after falling out of his boat on Hartbeespoort Dam late on Sunday afternoon. “It appeared that the boat kill switch may not have deployed and may not have been attached,” said Crewe about the man falling overboard.In December last year, the body of a missing toddler was recovered from a river near the Hartbeespoort Dam.
