Capetonians are shocked and horrified as nine bodies, some of them children as young as nine, have been found floating in canals in parts of the city.
Police have discovered another body in a canal next to the COVID-19 informal settlement in Driftsands, near Cape Town. It's the fifth body found in that area in two weeks. At first, there were two [bodies] found.
"It was one of his friends - that was last week, Saturday. Again on Monday, there was another body and again today [Thursday], there is another body. "We are hoping, as a family, that we will be able to find his body and bury him so that we can get closure and let this pass."
