A Cape Town Travel Tech company that focuses on the global supply and revenue optimisation of travel ancillary products and services is looking for a skilled Business Intelligence Developer to lead the development and management of the group’s BI and analytics solutions.
You’ll be responsible for transforming complex data into actionable insights through effective data modelling, analysis, and visualization techniques. Success in the role requires strong analytical ability, attention to detail, independent problem solving, and a proactive mindset.Develop and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports for routine and ad?hoc needs.Conduct regular data analysis to identify trends and provide actionable insights using advanced modelling techniques.Drive adoption of self?service analytics across the business.Work with the Data Engineer to onboard and operationalise new data sources and optimise the reporting data model.Automate recurring BI reporting processes.Stay current with fintech and BI trends to enhance their data ecosystem.Use Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager for web analytics.Serve as backup for the Data Engineer when needed.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Information Systems, or related field.Advanced SQL skills including performance optimisation and working with large datasetsExperience using GTM/GA, GCP and/ or AWS for analytics pipelinesExperience with machine?learning model integration or deployment.Familiar with Agile Scrum, Jira, and Confluence.Strong business acumen with the ability to interpret and translate complex requirements.Data storytelling & visual communicationTakes ownership and enjoys a fast-paced environmentPassion for data and its ability to drive business value.
