Beaverly fire department to get $1M fire engine

The Regional District of Fraser-Fort George approved increasing the budget to purchase a new fire truck for the volunteer fire department.

The Regional District of Fraser-Fort George board of directors approve the purchase of a $1 million fire engine for the Beaverly Fire Rescue service on Sept. 22.

“This is an awful lot of money,” board vice-chairperson Lara Beckett said. “We do have a little over $800,000 of this already .”
