The University of Bath programme was created a decade ago to improve player safety.

Now, the university's new Activate programme is reducing the amount of injuries including concussions. "We managed to see some quite substantial reductions in all injuries but in addition to that, we also saw reductions in concussions," he said.The Activate programme aims to reduce the amount of injuries on the pitch by up to 25%
