Stellenbosch head coach Steve Barker has questioned the application of the rules by match officials when it comes to Kaizer Chiefs, after his side conceded three penalties. SLSiya Read more:
Chiefs thrashed Stellies 3-1 over the weekend, all from penalties scored by Bonfils-Caleb Bimenyimana.
Barker says he believes that the match officials in that incident used the monitor to review the incident, hence the decision was reversed and he doesn't understand why the same courtesy could not be given to his team, if there was an element of doubt in the three penalties given against them. "Obviously there's no VAR in the country but if it was possible... then it just flabbergasts me and for it to happen just before half-time, it gets disappointing," he said.
