South Africa could benefit from a set of rule changes at next month's COSAFA Cup as Bafana Bafana look to retain their status as regional champions. Read more here ➡️

The 2022 edition of the annual COSAFA Cup is set to take place between 5-17 July in Durban where hosts and defending champions South Africa will be looking to be crowned for a record-equalling sixth time.

COSAFA have confirmed that squad sizes for each of the competing nations have been increased from 20 to 23 meaning national team Hugo Broos and his team will have more options to choose from when they travel to Kwa-Zulu Natal. It has also been confirmed that coaches will be allowed to use five substitutes during a match which is in line with the recent regulations implemented by the International Football Association Board .
