Liquor can only be served according to a venue’s existing hours, but all bars, pubs and restaurants can keep their doors open and serve non-alcoholic beverages during the extended hours. This isn’t a new idea. Extended hours were offered to the hospitality sector for the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver and Whistler and the 2015 Rugby World Cup. Earlier this year, Vancouver was approved asThe 2022 World Cup is scheduled for Nov. 20 to Dec. 18 in Qatar. Many games will be televised at odd hours due to the 10-hour time difference. Canada’s first game is Nov. 23 at 11 a.m. against world No. 2-ranked Belgium.
