City of Burnaby staff are recommending the 109-year-old Alice and Robert Travers Residence at 7828 Stanley St. be protected by a heritage revitalization agreement.

A Deer Lake house designed by the same architect who was behind the Burnaby Art Gallery building could be headed for heritage protection.

The Art & Crafts-style house isn’t currently protected by a heritage designation or any other heritage bylaw, but it is listed on the Burnaby heritage inventory. “The provision of an additional lot would assist the property owner with additional revenue in order to preserve and restore the heritage building,” stated the report.
