Over the past decade, budget cuts for the Gauteng Social Development Department have seen the reduction of funds allocated to NPOs including shelters, from 2,500 to 1,600.The ANC Women's League members and representatives of other organizations made their way to the Union Building lawns to deliver the memorandum, which calls for targeted government actions to combat gender-based violence.
