This was announced by the party’s secretary-general Fikile Mbalula on Tuesday after the ANC finalised its framework on how it would enter into coalition agreements in the future. Mbalula said going into what is expected to be a hotly-contested national election next year where, according to current polls, no party is expected to get a majority, the governing party prefers joining forces with political formations with leftist leaning ideologies.
