ANC office not spared in looting spree at Soweto shopping centre
While people mostly went for grocery items, alcohol and building material, the governing party’s Sephima parliamentary constituency office was not spared.

When asked what they were going to do with the flags, the other boy responded: “Sizowanika abantu ekasi. (We will give them to people in the township.” On Monday, following a meeting of the ANC national executive committee, the governing party came out to condemn the violence and lawlessness that started in KwaZulu-Natal on Friday and spread to Gauteng over the weekend.
Initially, the acts started as protests by those who were calling for the release of former president Jacob Zuma after the start of his 15-month prison sentence for contempt of court.
