“Parents are in the best position to decide whether the vaccination is right for their children, and we are providing them with the information they need to help them make that choice,” Health Minister Jason Copping said in a statement Friday.
The government said the Moderna Spikevax COVID-19 vaccine is to be administered at Alberta Health Services clinics across the province. The announcement means about 234,000 more Albertans are now eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine and that as of Tuesday all provinces will have have begun administering or at least booking appointments for this age group.
