New COVID-19 infections in Burnaby dropped for the second consecutive week, according to updated government data.

The BC Centre for Disease Control's Graphic Distribution of COVID-19 by Local Health Area of Case Residence says Burnaby recorded 30 new cases from July 17 to 23.In other COVID-19 news, Burnaby's second dose vaccination rate against COVID-19 in eligible children has seen no movement in the past week.

According to the BC Centre for Disease Control vaccine coverage progress by Local Health Authority, Burnaby sits at 58 per cent as of July 17, the same rate it was on July 10. New Westminster is the highest city when it comes to second doses in eligible children at 59 per cent.
