Scarlett Johansson's Natasha Romanoff faced several villains as the Black Widow, but there are many in Marvel Comics that never made it into the MCU.

Summary SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT Many Black Widow villains from Marvel Comics were never adapted for the live-action MCU. Scarlett Johansson debuted as Natasha Romanoff, a.k.a. Black Widow, in 2010's Iron Man 2, a former agent of SHIELD who later became a founding member of the Avengers.

Rachel Weisz portrayed a version of Melina Vostokoff in Black Widow, introduced as a scientist and Red Room operative who had been tasked with raising Romanoff and Belova in a surrogate family opposite David Harbour's Alexei Shostakov, a.k.a. Red Guardian. Although the character names are the same, Weisz's Vostokoff is not the Iron Maiden, though one moment in Black Widow may have teased the MCU's Iron Maiden.

5 Ophelia Sarkissian, A.K.A. Madame Hydra Raised by Daniel Whitehall, a.k.a. Kraken, deep within HYDRA, Ophelia Sarkissian was depicted as a villain from day one, more recently as the Viper, but originally as Madame Hydra. As the leader of HYDRA, Sarkissian was a regular enemy of Captain America and SHIELD but also battled the X-Men and the Avengers on various occasions, becoming one of their most formidable adversaries.

Damon Dran is an incredibly complex villain in Marvel Comics who would perhaps fit perfectly into the MCU. The fact that he is simply a mortal man, though with a huge amount of financial and societal power, who desires superpowers to become immortal means that he would fit into the antihero themes of the MCU's Multiverse Saga, even if Natasha Romanoff isn't around to fight him. Charlie Cox's MCU debut as Matt Murdock, a.k.a.

2 Prophet One of Black Widow's more recent enemies in Marvel Comics is Prophet, the leader of the organization Chaos, which provides laundered funding to armies and societies around the world. Prophet debuted in 2015's Black Widow Vol. 5 #10, as Romanoff was investigating Chaos but found herself abducted by Prophet and taken to Dubai with an offer to join them. After refusing, Prophet teleported Romanoff to Russia where she was attacked by Chaos agents.
