With just over 55% of voting districts counted, this is where some of the parties stand.

These are the latest verified results from South Africa’s national election, released by the Electoral Commission of South Africa.

The tables show support for the African National Congress, Democratic Alliance, Economic Freedom Fighters, uMkhonto weSizwe and some smaller parties. The Independent Electoral Commission has lowered its original high voter turnout prediction, now placing it in the 50s. This adjustment comes after acknowledging issues such as delayed ballots and technical problems, alongside the use of three ballot papers.

For national-regional, 7.17 million votes were counted and verified, and 12,829 of 23,292 voting districts completed
