Rachel EpsteinWhen NASA astronaut Christina Koch landed back on Earth in February after a record-breaking 328 days in space, the world was mesmerized by the incredible feat Koch had accomplished. Not only did she beat astronaut Peggy Whitson's space duration record, she also conducted the very first all-female spacewalk with her friend and fellow astronaut, Jessica Meir, who remains on board the International Space Station today.
Women & Space package, in which we explore the confluence of women and the space program—meeting the women who want to walk on Mars, examining the top jobs at NASA held by women—Koch and Meir gave us an exclusive peek at a typical day living on board the ISS when they were, quite literally, making history. In the video, we learn everything from how they wash their hair to how they exercise to what eating dinner looks like in microgravity .
