Jonty Rhodes took fielding to a new level in the modern era, and it is only fitting that fans have voted his incredible 1992 diving run-out of Inzamam-ul-Haq in Brisbane as theSouth Africa versus Pakistan in the 1992 ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup in Australia at Woolloongabba, Brisbane, Rhodes said: “Players work so hard at refining their skill-sets so that they become [a] habit and part of your subconscious movements.
He added: “I loved my fielding, even at school, and had never done this dive into the stumps before 1992, and never did it again. [It] just seemed right at the time, [I] never thought about it until it happened.”Rhodes pioneered fielding in the 90s, and he became famous for his diving one-hand stops, stunning acrobatic catches, and his ability to run out unsuspecting batsmen due to his speed and agility. Rhodes was up against 32 other ‘memorable moments’ from past World Cup tournaments.
