OPP responded to early morning incident on May 28
On May 28, shortly before 2 a.m., members of the Superior East Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police responded to an assault that occurred on Tamarack Avenue in Wawa, a news release said.
Cody Michalcewicz was arrested after an investigation and charged with one count of assault, the release added. The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on July 10 in Wawa. None of the allegations have been tested in court and the accused is considered innocent unless proven guilty.
