Officers responded to domestic disturbance report on the afternoon of May 26

A Wawa resident has been charged with spousal assault after OPP received a domestic dispute report on the afternoon of May 26.

Officers responded to a Hillcrest Avenue address shortly after 2 p.m., says a news release issued by OPP. As a result of this investigation, a 47-year-old Wawa resident is scheduled to appear in court in July to answer to charges of:Due to the domestic nature of the incident, police are not releasing the name of the accused in order to protect the identity of the alleged victim.
