Residents in some areas of Johannesburg will be experiencing power outages during the weekend. Here’s the schedule.
The city of Johannesburg will be rolling out planned power outages while doing maintenance at some of its substations this weekend.that there will be no electricity on Sunday in certain areas. The outages will mostly be for eight hours on Friday, while Sunday’s blackouts will be 12 hours long. Find out if you will be affected.The city said “customers are hereby notified of a planned power interruption” at various substations on Friday, 13 December 2024.
Another planned outage is at Bushkoppies SWS, from 8:00 to 16:00 affecting Bushkoppies, JW Compound and Sewage Farm.The length of the power outages for Sunday, 15 December 2024, will be between seven and eight hours. Here are the affected areas.The hours for the blackouts are from 08:00 to 15:00, and there will be no electricity at these suburbs.
