Thembinkosi Lorch's unhappiness and lack of playing time at Mamelodi Sundowns are among the reasons why it was necessary for the club to loan out the veteran midfielder, according to the club's head coach, Miguel Cardoso.

Speaking about Lorch's departure Cardoso said the midfielder was unhappy at the club, adding that it was important for players to be in an environment where they feel they can perform. “Lorch is not the young player and in the last years, he hasn’t played that much. So, it was important to let him go.”
