The beloved band was set toperform in Cape Town, Durban, and Pretoria, but due to lead singer John Rzeznik’s pneumonia diagnosis and hospitalisation the tour will now be postponed to March 2025.

In a statement, the band said Rzeznik’s pneumonia diagnosis and hospitalisation on December 1 meant that the tour will now be postponed to March 25 - 29, 2025.

"Performing while unwell could have lasting effects, so as fans of the Goo Goo Dolls, we fully support John in prioritising his recovery," the band said in a statement."We’re heartbroken to postpone our South Africa shows. This country means so much to us, and we were so excited to create more memories with you. Sadly, my doctor has advised rest and recovery.
