A group of Flat Earth believers and globe-earthers traveled to Antarctica to witness the 24-hour sun phenomenon. While the experience confirmed the Earth's spherical shape, it didn't seem to change the minds of the Flat Earthers.

While Flat Earth ers who travelled to Antarctica now believe that a 24-hour Sun is possible, it doesn’t seem to have convinced them the Earth is a globe. There are also many who believe that these Flat Earth talking heads are shills paid by the government. Despite overwhelming evidence that the Earth – like all planets in the known universe – is spherical in shape, Flat Earth conspiracy theorists reject this evidence.

Instead, believers of this conspiracy theory maintain that the Earth is flat with the Arctic being at the centre, the continents radiating out from the Arctic and Antarctica being a massive ice wall that surrounds the planet. Believers of this theory also often suggest that there is a solid firmament above us rather than a multi-layered atmosphere. This theory has persisted for years and no amount of evidence has been sufficient to change the minds of believers. Earlier this year, a video appeared online claiming that this year the debate between Flat Earthers and Globe Earthers would be settled in something called The Final Experiment. In this experiment, 24 participants from each side would travel to Antarctica. Why Antarctica? Well in the Summer, the Sun doesn’t set in the southern-most continent on the planet leading to 24-hours of sunlight at a time. This fact is one Flat Earthers deny as it directly challenges their core belief. If the Sun doesn’t set in Antarctica, that confirms that the Earth is a globe as in a Flat Earth model, 24-hours of sunlight would be impossible. Earlier this month then, a group of Flat and Globe Earthers travelled to the tundra to observe the Sun and what they saw confirmed that yes, Earth is in fact a globe. However, one can’t simply admit that, especially if your career is entrenched in Flat Earth conspiracie
