The Electoral Reform Consultation Panel (ERCP) is calling on South Africans to engage in the reform process of the country’s electoral system. After collecting numerous submissions, the panel has published a discussion paper to facilitate upcoming public hearings.

The Electoral Reform Consultation Panel is urging South Africans to take part in reforming the country’sThe Panel has been tasked with investigating, consulting and making recommendations with respect to the broad rules governing the manner in which the citizens select their leaders and how power is subsequently distributed amongst contestants at all levels of government.

After soliciting and receiving hundreds of submissions, the panel has now published a discussion paper as the foundation for public hearings that will be held early next year.ERCP member Tomsie Dlamini says, “We’re really pleading with every South African to please come out, especially the citizens. You know, when we also come out to the provinces, please do come out.
