Kaizer Chiefs head coach Arthur Zwane has rued his side's worrying influx of injuries for derailing his side's progress as the Soweto giants take aim at the Nedbank Cup. Read more here ▶️
Amakhosi have struggled to build momentum this season, only managing to string together three consecutive wins on one occasion this season when defeating SuperSport United, Swallows FC, and Stellenbosch."I think we have been unfortunate with injuries and consistency this season," Zwane told journalists at a Nedbank Cup media briefing on Monday.
"Whenever we’re going into the third game or the second game we lose a key player to injury or unforeseen circumstances. We’ve been very, very unfortunate when it comes to that. Then you have to reshuffle the team again, if it's not a suspension. "So, it is a worrying factor and sometimes we even look like we don’t know what we’re doing in terms of our starting eleven or who we want to bring in because it keeps changing."
Injury Update"Khama has also gone for surgery, as has Nkosingiphile Ngcobo. We have never had such a situation in the team and it is quite disturbing, but it’s part of the game and we’re not going to dwell on it and complain" - ZwaneSpeedy Recovery
