Former president Jacob Zuma was granted medical parole last September after serving just two months of his 15-month sentence for contempt of court.

Zuma was granted medical parole last September, after serving just two months of his 15-month sentence for contempt of court."What is not happening is the review of the medical parole board.... we not reviewing that decision: what is being looked at is the decision," said criminal law expert Tyrone Maseko.
"We already know what the recommendation of the medical parole board is, thereafter it was found that there is no discretion on the commissioner. "If there was one report from a doctor that says Jacob Zuma is at the final stages of a terminal illness but what holds is the decision of the board."
