Zlatan's former club 'opens door' for shock return
One of Zlatan Ibrahimovic's former clubs has now reportedly opened the door to a shock return for the retired player.AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli has admitted his love for the former striker, and suggested that he could return to the club as a member of his staff.
"We are structured to support the coach and the players... so you already know how much I love Zlatan. There would be no problem," the 58-year-old said, perA towering figure like the five-time Serie A winner could be just what Milan need to turn their fortunes around. The Italian giants have slipped to third place in Serie A after losing two and drawing one of their past three fixtures.
The Rossoneri have also thus far struggled in their UEFA Champions League campaign. They are yet to register a UCL goal this season, drawing 0-0 with both Newcastle United and Borussia Dortmund, and most recently suffered a 3-0 loss to Paris Saint-Germain. Ibrahimovic spent a considerable portion of his career at the Milan club, for whom he made 163 appearances, scoring 93 goals and collecting 35 assists on the way to securing two of the five Serie A titles he has to his name.
