Zizi Kodwa to return to Parliament as state withdraws corruption charges?The Director of Public Prosecutions in the Gauteng advocate Andrew Chauke has withdrawn the charges of Corruption in Contravention of the Prevention and Combating of Corrupt Activities Act against the former sport, arts and culture minister Zizi Kodwa and businessman Jehan Mackay.as the former minister and member of Parliament allegedly received R1.
“Their version of events is then weighed against the interest of justice, coupled with the factors mentioned above. The DPP was duty bound to take into account that the prospects of a successful prosecution has diminished, owing to the change in circumstances, brought about by new developments that came to light, in spite of an initial decision to institute a prosecution,” she explained.
It could be a good Friday – and start to the new month – for some lucky player of Friday, 1 November’s PowerBall and PowerBall Plus draws.
