‘The United States is committed to ensuring the Ukrainian people can stand up to Russian aggression for as long as it takes,’ Biden stated. Speaking after Biden, Zelensky appealed to Americans by asking them to image facing a harsh winter with electricity rationed at two hours daily due to Russia’s air strikes on key infrastructure.‘Russia needs to be held accountable for everything it does against us,’ said Zelensky, through an interpreter.‘I wish you peace. And I think the main thing, and you understand it only when the war is in your country, when somebody like these terrorists from Russia come to your houses,’ Zelensky said.
